Dear Readers,

What motivates you to go after your dreams?
What motivates you to get out of bed and start the day?
What motivates you to do inconvenient things that help others?

Authentic motivation consists of vision and desire, mental discipline
and a deep, spiritually-rooted view of one's self. I suppose some may
be motivated by fear of consequences, money, or self-glory, but if
you're reading this, we will assume you're a person living with more
clarity and having loftier aspirations. For you, motivation links arms
with gratitude and purpose; those who plug into the Divine Light are
electrified by an endless source of energy. Spiritually motivated people
are all fired up! They shoot for the stars, illumined by Love's spark.
They know they can "do it" and they know why.

Ability is what you're capable of doing.
Motivation determines what you do.
Attitude determines how well you do it.

Lou Holtz (1937 -  )

People often say that motivation doesn't last.
Well, neither does bathing --
that's why we recommend it daily.

God gives every bird its food,
but He does not throw it into its nest.

J. G. Holland (1819-1881)

We all need some form of deeply rooted,
powerful motivation. It empowers us to over-
come obstacles so we can live our dreams.

Les Brown (1945 -  )
Author, motivational speaker

The first step is to fill your life with positive faith
that will help you through anything. The second
is to begin where you are.

Norman Vincent Peale (1898-1993)

What we do flows from who we are.

Paul Vitale (1972  -  )

Keep the transcendent dimension of your own
life burning bright through prayer and sacrament,
through love and peace, mercy and justice. It changes
every fiber of your being when the transcendent is
your priority. Live for God. Nothing else is worth it.

Fr. Matthew Kelty O.C.S.O. (1915 -  )
American priest and monk
From a talk given in Kentucky, 2003

The Last Word:
Throw back the shoulders, let the heart sing,
let the eyes flash, let the mind be lifted up,
look upward and say to yourself...
"Nothing is impossible!"

Norman Vincent Peale (1898-1993)
Pastor and author

Utterly Random Bonus Quote:

We are all primary numbers divisible only by ourselves.

Jean Guitton (1901-1999)
