|Welcome To The Religion Network!
I'm Lisa Bowman. The Religion Network is an interfaith web site providing inspiration, quotes and religious resources. This Home Page is changed every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You are warmly
invited to read every quote posted for each theme, or simply to read those that interest you. They are
offered in the belief that inspiration can be found in all spiritual faiths, and that finding the commonality
in religions is more important than pointing up the differences. Religion is precious gift that blesses the
individual and uplifts the community. However you worship, I hope this site enhances your journey. Let
us meet regularly and build a spiritual network. If you'd like to know my story, click on biography.
On Today's Theme:
Manifestations of transformation are all around us as we go
through our lives. Butterflies crawl from their cocoons, ice cubes
melt and become part of our iced tea, and pale green shoots
burst in slow motion from hard brown seed pods. Do you
think Someone's trying to tell us something?
Transformation is a process, usually gradual and incremental.
Perhaps along with it, we are asked to learn patience with ourselves.
And when the way gets dark, (think of that cocoon),
we are asked to have courage. So be brave, be
faithful. And think of what a gorgeous
butterfly you'll make!

For you shall go out in joy, and be led forth in peace; the
mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into
singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress;
instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle;
and it shall be to the Lord for a memorial,
for an everlasting sign which shall not be cut off.
Isaiah 55: 12-13
The Holy Bible
Revised Standard Version
And be ye not conformed to this world; but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that
ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable,
and perfect, will of God.
The Holy Bible
King James Version
From within or from behind, a light shines through us upon
things, and makes us aware that we are nothing,
but the light is all.
Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)
American poet; Transcendentalist thinker
God, help me search out the blocks and barriers within myself.
Bring what I need to know into my conscious mind, so I can be
free of it. Show me what I need to know about myself.

O love, O pure deep love, be here, be now
Be all; worlds dissolve into your stainless
Frail living leaves burn with you

...All past and present desires are fuel consumed by love divine.
The Ultimate Flame receives the sacrifice of all human madness,
and man is pure of dross. His metaphorical bones stripped of all
desirous flesh, his karmic skeleton bleached by antiseptic suns of
wisdom, inoffensive before man and Maker, he is clean at last.
Paramahansa Yogananda (1893-1952)
Indian Guru and Yogi
And now, the Last Word:
Our souls are not broken that they should
need repair, nor deficient that they should
need anything added. Our souls need only
to be uncovered and allowed to shine.
