Welcome To The Religion Network!
I'm Lisa Bowman. The Religion Network is an interfaith web site providing inspiration, quotes and religious resources. Faith and religion are precious gifts that bless. However you worship, I hope this
site enhances your journey. Let us meet regularly and build a spiritual network. If you'd like to know my story, click on biography.

Father, because I reverence and worship you,
I have the assurance of Your Word that the angel of the Lord
encamps around about me and delivers me from every evil work.
No evil shall befall me, no plague or calamity shall come near my
dwelling. I confess the Word of God abides in me and delivers to
me perfect soundness of mind and wholeness in body and spirit
from the deepest parts of my nature in my immortal spirit even to
the joints and marrow of my bones. That word is medication and
life to my flesh for the law of the Spirit of life operates in me
and makes me free from the law of sin and death.

____________

Absolute, unquestioning faith in God is the greatest method
of instantaneous healing. An unceasing effort to arouse that
faith is man's highest and most rewarding duty.

Paramahansa Yogananda (1893-1952)
Indian yogi and guru

From the end of the land I call unto You, when my heart
grows faint. Lead me to a rock that is too high for me (to
climb alone). For You have been a refuge for me, a tower
of strength in the face of the enemy. May I dwell in your
tent forever, may I take refuge in the shelter of Your
wings, Selah...Thus I shall praise Your name forever,
to fulfill my vows day after day.

Psalm 61: 1-5, 9

____________

I cured with the power that came through me. Of course, it was not
I who cured; it was the power from the Outer World, the visions
and the ceremonies had only made me like a hole
through which the power could come to the two-leggeds.

If I thought that I was doing it myself, the hole would close up
and no power could come through. Then everything I
could do would be foolish.

Black Elk (1863-1950)
Oglala Sioux holy man

Practice sitting and walking meditation while you embrace your pain
in mindfulness, and sooner or later, it will be transformed. If you have
increased the quality of your mindfulness through practice, the trans-
formation will be quicker. When mindfulness embraces pain, it begins
to penetrate and transform it, like sunshine penetrating a flower bud
and helping it blossom. When mindfulness touches something
beautiful, it reveals its beauty. When it touches something
painful, it transforms and heals it.

______________

And a woman afflicted with hemorrhages for twelve
years who (had spent her whole livelihood on doctors
and) was unable to be cured by anyone, came up behind
(Jesus) and touched the tassel on his cloak. Immediately
her bleeding stopped. Jesus then asked, "Who touched
me?" ... Peter said, "Master, the crowds are pushing
and pressing in upon you." But Jesus said, "Someone has
touched me; for I know that power has gone out from me."
When the woman realized she had not escaped notice,
she came forward trembling ... He said to her,
"Daughter, your faith has saved you; go in peace."

Luke 8:43-48
New American Bible

And now, the Last Word:

Beloved Lord, Almighty God!
Through the waves of the sun,
Through the waves of the air,
Through the All-pervading Life in space,
Purify and revivify me, and I pray,
Heal my body, heart and soul.

Amen.

Hazrat Inayat Khan ( 1882-1927)
Founder of Universal Sufism
