And now, the Last Word:
Bonus quote: We learn wisdom from failure much
more than from success. We often discover what will
do by finding out what will not do; and probably he who
never made mistake never made a discovery.

Samuel Smiles (1812-1904)
Scottish biographer & author of self-help books

I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and be glad in my
people; no more shall be heard in it the
sound of weeping and the cry of distress.

They shall build houses and inhabit them;
they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
They shall not build and another inhabit;
they shall not plant and another eat;
for like the days of a tree shall the days of
my people be, and my chosen shall long
enjoy the work of their hands.

Before they call I will answer,
while they are yet speaking I will hear.
The wolf and the lam shall feed together,
the lion shall eat straw like the ox;
and dust shall be the serpent's food.
They shall not hurt or destroy
in all my holy mountain, says the Lord.

Psalm 65: 19,21-22, 24-25

Mmmmm....hmmmm, mymymy...and then I went on, and God blessed me with my
home, and I thank him for that...It may not be what you think it should be...but I thank
God that he gave it to me...I got a roof over my head, thank you, Lord...I'm not
braggin' , children, just thankin' God...

Marion Williams (1927-1994)
One of American's greatest gospel singers
The Religion Network is proud to begin including video on the site!

Our first offering is from the Center Theatre Group's Neighborhood
Night, an event which followed a performance of the drama, "Doubt"
at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. A panel and audience
discussion of the play ensued after a tasty buffet.

It was an impassioned and entertaining event!

The most important work you and I will ever do will
be within the walls of our own homes.

The lands around my dwelling
are more beautiful
From the day
When it is given me to see
Faces I have never seen before.
All is more beautiful,
All is more beautiful,
And life is thankfulness.
These guests of mine
Make my house grand.

Eskimo prayer
I think that when you invite people to your home,
you invite them to yourself.

Oprah Winfrey (1954-    )
American megapersonality
I pray tonight: Come, Lord Jesus, come. Do not just come to our understanding, but
enter our hearts---our passions, emotions, and feelings---and reveal your presence
to us in our inmost being. As long as you remain absent from that intimate core of our
experience, we will keep clinging to people, things, or events to find some warmth,
some sense of belonging. Only when you really come, really touch us, set us ablaze
with your love, only then will we become free and let go of all false forms of belonging.

Henri J. M. Nouwen (1932-1996)
Dutch priest, author and lecturer
And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

And if Satan rise up against himself, he cannot stand, but hath an end.

No man can enter into a strong man's house and despoil his goods, unless he will
first bind the strong man; and then he will despoil his house.

Mark 3: 24-27
Holy Bible
21st Century King James Version

Your task is not to seek love, but merely to
seek and find all the barriers within yourself
that you have built against love.

Rumi (1207-1273)
Persian Sufi poet and philosopher
