Welcome To The Religion Network!
I'm Lisa Bowman. The Religion Network is an interfaith web site providing inspiration, quotes and
religious resources. This Home Page is changed every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You are warmly
invited to read every quote posted for each theme, or simply to read those that interest you. They are
offered in the belief that inspiration can be found in all spiritual faiths, and that finding the commonality
in religions is more important than pointing up the differences. Religion is precious gift that blesses the
individual and uplifts the community. However you worship, I hope this site enhances your journey. Let
us meet regularly and build a spiritual network. If you'd like to know my story, click on biography.

On Today's Theme:

It's so easy for daily life to tinge our devotion with the grayness of a weary rote.
And sometimes we go through "dry" periods; times when we've set a boundary
between ourselves and the Divine, and we have trouble sensing his Presence.

While not everyone feels fed by ecstasy, as do the mystics who thrive on the
joyful bouncing of God's heartbeat, we can all get a spiritual boost by riding
on their exhilarating and praiseful coattails, focusing as they do on the
All-ness of God's love. Reach out and touch Bliss!

- Lisa Bowman

The Lord is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and rich in love.

The Lord is good to all;
he has compassion on all he has made.

All you have made will praise you, O Lord;
your saints will extol you.

They will tell of the glory of your kingdom
and speak of your might,
so that all men may know of your mighty acts
and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures through all generations.
The Lord is faithful to all his promises
and loving toward all he has made.

Psalm 145: 8-13
The Holy Bible
New International Version

_____

Adoration unto thee who art before me and behind
me: adoration unto thee who art on all sides,
God of all. All-powerful God of immeasurable
might. Thou art the consummation of all:
thou art all.

From the Bhagavad Gita
Hindu scripture

My Joy--

My Hunger--

My Shelter--

My Friend--

My Food for the Journey--

My Journey's End--

You are my breath,

My hope,

My companion,

My craving,

My abundant wealth.

Without You--my Life, my Love--

I would never have wandered across these
endless countries.

You have poured out so much grace for me,

Done me so many favors, given me so many gifts--

I look everywhere for Your love--

Then suddenly I am filled with it.

O Captain of my Heart,

Radiant Eye of Yearning in my breast,

I will never be free from You
As long as I live.

Be satisfied with me, Love
And I am satisfied.

Rabi'a (717-891)
Female Sufi Muslim saint

We were born to love, we live to love,
