Dear Readers,

What would we do without laughter? It is a natural release indicating
a recognition of contradictions in oneself and the world; it shows
a level of comfort with others in our midst; and it allows us to view
life with a lightness that can make the unbearable, bearable.

So is a sense of humor a spiritual quality? If one thinks the
Lord approves of all of the above, then the answer is yes.

In my opinion, the sense of humor is the seventh "sense."
We have the usual five senses, and then many see a psychic
or sixth sense, but then there is the sense of humor.
Life is incomplete without it.

A sense of humor not only expresses our natural and
supernatural happiness, our contentment, it is also a
very useful check against self-deception. It is very easy
to take ourselves too seriously. Humor allows us to
transcend our seriousness and become lighter,
inwardly more free...

Humor, like self-knowledge, is filled with truth. It is
essential for our human and spiritual evolvement.

After God created the world, He made man and woman.
Then, to keep the whole thing from collapsing…he invented humor.
