Welcome To The Religion Network!
I'm Lisa Bowman. The Religion Network is an interfaith web site providing inspiration, quotes and religious resources. This Home Page is changed every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You are warmly
invited to read every quote posted for each theme, or simply to read those that interest you. They are
offered in the belief that inspiration can be found in all spiritual faiths, and that finding the commonality
in religions is more important than pointing up the differences. Religion is precious gift that blesses the
individual and uplifts the community. However you worship, I hope this site enhances your journey. Let
us meet regularly and build a spiritual network. If you'd like to know my story, click on biography.

It is a greater thing and a better prayer to live in Him who is Infinite,
and to rejoice that He is Infinite, than to strive always to press His
infinity into the narrow space of our own hearts...

In true prayer, although every silent moment remains the same, every
moment is a new discovery of a new silence, a new penetration into
that eternity in which all things are always new. We know, by fresh
discovery, the deep reality that is our concrete existence here and
now and in the depths of that reality we receive from the Father
light, truth, wisdom and peace. These are the reflections of
God in our souls which are made to
His image and likeness.

by Thomas Merton (1915-1968)

God is incorporeal, divine, supreme, infinite Mind,
Spirit, Soul, Principle, Life, Truth, Love.

by Mary Baker Eddy

Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can i flee from Your Presence?
If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, you are there;
If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me.

Psalm 139: 7-10
The Holy Bible
New King James Version

________

I soar in the plane of consciousness above,
beneath, on the left, on the right, within
and without, everywhere, to find that in
every nook of my space-home I have always
been in the sacred presence of my Father.

Paramahansa Yogananda (1893-1952)
Hindu yogi and guru

_________

As soon as a man is fully disposed to be alone with God,
he is alone with God no matter where he may be -- in the
country, the monastery, the woods, or the city. The lightning
flashes from east to west, illuminating the whole horizon and
striking where it pleases and at the same instant the infinite
liberty of God flashes in the depths of that man's soul, and he
is illumined. At that moment he sees that though he seems to
be in the middle of his journey, he has already arrived at the
end. For the life of grace on earth is the beginning of the life
of glory. Although he is a traveler in time, he has opened
his eyes, for a moment, in eternity.

Excerpted from "Thoughts in Solitude,"
by Thomas Merton (1915-1968)
Farrar, Giroux and Straus

And now, the Last Word:

Go deep into the perception of Bliss;
there you will find the actual presence
of God. Seek not a part but the Whole.

Paramahansa Yogananda (1893-1952)
Hindu guru and yogi
