|Welcome To The Religion Network!
I'm Lisa Bowman. The Religion Network is an interfaith web site providing inspiration, quotes and religious resources. This Home Page is changed every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You are warmly
invited to read every quote posted for each theme, or simply to read those that interest you. They are
offered in the belief that inspiration can be found in all spiritual faiths, and that finding the commonality
in religions is more important than pointing up the differences. Religion is precious gift that blesses the
individual and uplifts the community. However you worship, I hope this site enhances your journey. Let
us meet regularly and build a spiritual network. If you'd like to know my story, click on biography.
The nature of enlightenment is the very base of your being and
of your practice. If you have that, there is no reason for you to
get lost ... Also, you have a direction to go. If you don't have a
direction to go, you are lost. You cannot be happy. To know
where to go is very important ... And this is the nature of
faith as understood in the Buddha's teaching.

With all my heart I sought You, do not let me stray from
Your commandments. In my heart I have stored Your word,
so that I would not sin against You.
Of Your precepts I speak and I look at Your paths.
I occupy myself with Your statutes,
I will not forget Your word.
Psalm 119: 10-11, 15-16
The Stone Edition Tanach
Come, come, whoever you are.
Wonderer, worshipper, lover of leaving.
It doesn't matter.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come, even if you have broken your vow
a thousand times.
Come, yet again, come, come.
Persian Founder of the order of the Whirling Dervishes
Before embarking on important undertakings, sit quietly,
calm your senses and thoughts and meditate deeply.
You will then be guided by great creative
power of Spirit.
Paramahansa Yogananda (1893-1952)
Indian Guru and Yogi
Intuition is a spiritual faculty, and does not explain,
but simply leads the way.
- Florence Scovel Shinn
...(D)o you use your intuition? Have you learned how to fine-tune
the inner instinct that is constantly transmitting signals to you?
Think of yourself as a radio. Is your dial set clearly on the intuitive
station so that you can receive the information you need
when you need it, or are you just picking up static?
Intuition is the subliminal sense Spirit endowed us with to
maneuver safely through the maze that is real life...
Intuition tries to communicate with us in inventive ways...
One way is through "the educated gut," which frequently
slaps us to pay attention by triggering a visceral, physical
reaction in our bodies....Another intuitive message breaks
through when we suddenly grasp that to try something new
might be delightful; we do so and are surprised by joy. A third
intuitive nudge occurs through revelation; the inner knowing
that helps us arrive at the right place at the right time so that
we can be swept away by the benevolent flow of synchronicity...
William Wordsworth believed that we could all become "one
in whom persuasion and belief/Had ripened into faith, and
faith become/A passionate intuition."
And we can.
