"The Parting of the Red Sea" by Marc Chagall
It was told to the king of Egypt that the people
had fled; and the heart of Pharaoh and his servants
became transformed regarding the people, and they
said, "What is this that we have done that we have sent
away Israel from serving us?" He harnessed his chariot
and attracted his people with him.
Moses said to the people, "Do not fear! Stand fast and see
the salvation of Hashem that He will perform for you today;
for as you have seen Egypt today, you shall not see them
again! Hashem shall make war for you, and you
The angel of God who had been going in front of the camp
of Israel moved and went behind them; and the pillar of
cloud moved from in front of them and went behind them.
It came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel
and there were cloud and darkness --while it illuminated the
night -- and one did not draw near the other all the night.
Moses stretched out his hand over over the sea, and Hashem
moved the sea with a strong east wind all the night, and He
turned the sea to damp land and the water was split. The
Children of Israel came within the sea on dry land; and the
water was a wall for them, on their right and on their left.

Splitting the Sea
Along the path to Torah is the splitting of the sea.
Don't imagine you can keep your belief in a
materialist's world and append a higher
consciousness to it. The sea of concealment
has to part and the world must be seen for
what it truly is: A G-dly place ever-awaiting
When God is about to do something great,
He starts with a difficulty. When He is about
to do something truly magnificent, He starts
with an impossibility.

Evangelist, author and Lutheran pastor
There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing
is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle.
Albert Einstein (1879-1955)
One of the greatest physicists of all time
It was Einstein who said
either nothing is a miracle,
or everything is ---
a jagged mountain range,
lilacs in bloom,
a peacock unfurled,
sun on your arm,
the touch of a stranger.
Take your pick; be surprised
by nothing at all,
or by everything that is.

This world, after all our science and
sciences, is still a miracle; wonderful,
inscrutable, magical and more, to
whosoever will think of it.
Thomas Carlyle (1795-1881)
Scottish essayist, satirist, historian
When he entered Capernaum, a centurion
approached him and appealed to him, saying,
"Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed,
suffering dreadfully." He said to him, "I will
come and cure him." The centurion said to him,
"Lord, I am not worthy to have you enter under
my roof; only say the word and my servant will
When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said
to those following him, "Amen, I say to you,
in no one in Israel have I found such faith..."
And Jesus said to the centurion, "You may go;
as you have believed, let it be done for you."
And at that very hour his servant was healed.
When it was evening, they brought him many who
were possessed by demons, and he drove out the
spirits by a word and cured all the sick...

And now the Last Word:
Miracles do not, in fact, break the laws of nature.
