Welcome To The Religion Network!

WELCOME! I'm Lisa Bowman. The Religion Network is an interfaith web site providing daily
inspiration, quotes and religious resources. Faith and religion are precious gifts that bless.
However you worship, I hope this site enhances your journey. Let us meet regularly and build
a spiritual network. If you'd like to know my story, click on biography.

Love Them Anyway

People are unreasonable,
illogical, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.

If you are kind,
People may accuse you of
Selfish ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful,
You will win some false friends
And true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

The good you do today
Will be forgotten tomorrow.
Be good anyway.

Honesty and frankness
Will make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.

Wheat you spend years building
May be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.

People need help,
But may attack you
If you try to help them.
Help them anyway.

In the final analysis,
It is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.

Mother Teresa (1910-1997)
Albanian Roman Catholic nun,
beatified by Pope John Paul II in 2003

__________________________

The just man loves God for nothing, neither for this nor for that,
and if God gave him wisdom or anything else he had to give, except
himself, the just man would not look at it, nor would it be to his
taste; for he wants nothing, seeks nothing, and has no reason for
doing anything. As God, having no motives, acts without them, so
the just man acts without motives. As life lives on for its own
sake, needing no reason for being,so the just man has no reason for doing what he does.

Meister Eckhart (1260-1328)
German theologian, philosopher and mystic

Pray for your enemies, that they may be holy
and that all may be well with them.
And should you think this is not serving God,
rest assured that more than all prayers,
this is indeed the service of God.

The Talmud
(Jewish)

___________

If anyone has hurt me or harmed me knowingly or
unknowingly in thought, word, or deed, I freely forgive them.
And I too ask forgiveness if I have hurt anyone or harmed
anyone knowingly or unknowingly in thought, word or deed.

May I be happy
May I be peaceful
May I be free

May my friends be happy
May my friends be peaceful
May my friends be free

May my enemies be happy
May my enemies be peaceful
May my enemies be free

May all things be happy
May all things be peaceful
May all things be free.

Buddhist prayer

And now the Last Word:

O Thou who art at home
Deep in my heart
Enable me to join you
Deep in my heart.
