Do you think, If I cuss less, pray more, drink less, study
more...if I try harder, God will  love me more?
Sniff
and smell Satan's stench behind those words. We all
need improvement, but we don't need to woo God's
love. We change because we already have God's love.
                                                                           God's
perfect love.

Perfect love is just that -- perfect, a perfect
knowledge of the past and a perfect vision of the
future. You cannot shock God with your actions.
There will never be a day that you cause him to
gasp, "Whoa, did you see what she just did?" Never
will he turn to his angels and bemoan, "Had I known
Max was going to go Spam-brained on me, I wouldn't
have saved his soul." God knows your entire story, from first word to final breath, and with clear
assessment declares, "You are mine."

From "Come Thirsty: No Heart Too Dry For His Touch"
By Max Lucado
W Publishing Group, 2004
For behold, I am creating new heavens and a
new earth; the former (events) will no longer
be recalled and will not be taken to heart. Only
rejoice and be happy forever for what I am
creating; for behold, I am recreating
Jerusalem as 'Gladness' and its people as
'Joy'; for I will rejoice over Jerusalem and
exult with my people, and there will no longer
be heard in it the sound of weeping and the
sound of outcry. Never again will come from
there a young child or old man who will not fill
his days;

For the lifetime of my people will be like the
lifetime of the tree, and My chosen ones will
wear out their handiwork.

Wolf and lamb will graze as one, a lion - like
cattle - will eat straw, a snake's food will be
dirt; they will not inflict harm nor destruction
in all My holy mountain, says Hashem.

Isaiah 65:17-19, 22, 25
The Stone Edition Tanach
Mesorah Publications, Ltd.
Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the
flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the
flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away; behold, all
things are become new.

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us
to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us
the ministry of reconciliation...

2 Corinthians 5:16-18
King James Version

Thanks be to Thee, my Lord
Jesus Christ
For all the benefits Thou hast
given me,
For all the pains and insults Thou
hast borne for me.
O most merciful Redeemer,
friend and brother,
Day by day, dear Lord of you
Three things I pray:
To see you more clearly,
To love you more dearly,
To follow you more nearly,
Day by day.

St. Richard of Chichester  (1197-1253)
Bishop of Chichester

There is not one blade of grass, there is no color
in this world that is not intended to make us rejoice.
-John Calvin (1509-1564)
French Protestant theologian

The Final, Last Last Word from Lisa Bowman:

Happy New Year! "Second star to the right and straight on till morning!" This line from Disney's
"Peter Pan" is filled with joy, hope, simplicity and utter abandonment in its goal of reaching a
magical place. The goodness of God is not magical. Instead it showers us in his golden Love, which is
infinitely better than any pixie dust. May you be drenched in holy light this new year. And whatever
pirates try to attack your "ship," may you hold fast in the faith that you can "fly" into the Almighty's
saving Arms and be held fast in peace.
