Welcome To The Religion Network!

WELCOME! I'm Lisa Bowman. The Religion Network is an interfaith web site providing daily inspiration, quotes and religious resources. Faith and religion are precious gifts that bless.
However you worship, I hope this site enhances your journey. Let us meet regularly and build
a spiritual network. If you'd like to know my story, click on biography.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts
and your ways are not my ways --
the word of Hashem.
As high as the heavens over the earth,
so are My ways higher than your ways,
and My thoughts higher than your thoughts.

My word emanates from My mouth,
it will not return to Me unfulfilled unless it will have
accomplished what I desired and brought success
where I sent it.

Isaiah 55: 8-9, 11

______________

What controls you doesn't control him. What
troubles you doesn't trouble him. What fatigues
you doesn't fatigue him. Is an eagle disturbed by
traffic? No, he rises above it. Is the whale
perturbed by a hurricane? Of course not; he plunges
beneath it. Is the lion flustered by the mouse
standing directly in his way? No, he steps over it.

How much more is God able to soar above, plunge
beneath, and step over the troubles of the earth!

Max Lucado (1955-  )
Christian author and minister in San Antonio, Texas
Excerpted from "For These Tough Times"
W Publishing Group, 2006

Jesus looked at them and said,
"For human beings this is impossible,
but for God, all things are possible."

Matthew 19:26
New American Bible

________________

The first principle fundamental to an understanding of mental
and spiritual science is that we are surrounded by an Infinite
Intelligence. We do not comprehend the meaning of such an
intelligence, except in a very small degree, but because we are
intelligent beings we can sense the presence of an Intelligence
which is beyond our human comprehension, an Intelligence which
is great enough in Its own nature to encompass the past, to
understand perfectly the present and to be the creator of the
future. It is the cause of everything that has been and is that
out of which will unfold everything that is to be.

Ernest Holmes (1887-1960)
Excerpted from "Can We Talk to God?"
Health Communications, Inc. , 1999

Just as a wave on the ocean is what the ocean is doing,
you are what God is doing.

Wayne Dyer (1940-  )
American author

_________

...We are here for a purpose that involves all of us.
We are expressions of God's endless creativity. The
Divine is happening all the time, and in all corners of
reality. The question for every one of us is this:
Are we allowing God to be God in and through us?

Wayne Teasdale (1945-2004)
Lay monk, author, scholar, activist
Excerpted from "The Mystic Hours"
New World Library, 2004

And now the Last Word:

We know that (God) is in control of the universe,
and so we can rest secure. But also important is
the knowledge that this God in heaven has chosen
to bend near toward earth to see our sorrow and hear
our prayers. He is not so far above us that he is not
touched by our tears.

Though we may not be able to see his purpose or his
plan, the Lord of heaven is on his throne and in firm
control of the universe and our lives. So we entrust
him with our future. We entrust him with our very lives.
