Welcome To The Religion Network!
I'm Lisa Bowman, editor of The Religion Network, a multi-faith Web site. This site provides inspirational quotes through an
exploration of a new spiritual theme every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The Religion network is offered with the
conviction that inspiration can be found in all spiritual faiths, and furthermore, that finding the commonalities
among the world's religions is more healing than pointing up their differences.
Religion as an institution is a precious gift, blessing individuals and uplifting communities. However you choose to
worship, I hope this site enhances your journey. If you'd like to know my story, click on biography.

See what love the Father has bestowed on us that we may
be called the children of God. Yet so we are. The reason the
world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved,
we are God's children now; what we shall be has not yet been
revealed. We do know that when it is revealed we shall be like
him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this
hope based on him makes himself pure, as he is pure.
1 John 3:1-3
New American Bible
The soul manifests the very reason for our existence; it is the one part
of our being that directly reflects our connection to G-d, our creator.
Even though it is not tangible and is hidden within the body, the soul is
the very fabric of who we are. While the body encompasses the material
aspects of our lives, the soul encompasses the spiritual ... (But) it is the
soul that energizes and guides the body to do good deeds and connect
to the divine. The soul is transcendent by nature, for "the flame
of G-d is the soul of man."(Proverbs 20:27)

Each human being is a multiplicity of miracles.
Eyes that see thousands of colors, shapes, and
forms; ears that hear a bee flying or a thunderclap;
a brain that ponders a speck of dust as easily as the
entire cosmos; a heart that beats in rhythm with the
heartbeat of all beings. When we are tired and feel
discouraged by life's daily struggles, we may not
notice these miracles, but they are always there.

The created universe is all around you. The sun, moon, and stars are external.
They are above you, but at the same time, they are beneath your soul. That is
to say, they are splendid, but your human dignity is even more splendid.
Your soul has three primary powers:
There are two secondary powers:
God alone is above you in nature.

The Inner Flame
I am not more than
to the world,
I am a flame of hope and promise
in a darkened room.
by June Cotner
We are, each of us angels with only one wing;
and we can only fly by embracing one another.

We are all pencils in the hand of God.

Totally Random Bonus Quote:
Life lives on life. We all eat and are eaten.
Forgetting this, we weep; remembering
this, we nourish one another.
