Bonus quote: The quieter the mind, the more powerful, the
worthier, the deeper, the more telling and more perfect the
prayer is. To the quiet mind all things are possible.

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are mine.
When you pass through the waters I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through the fire you shall not be
burned, and the flame shall not consume you.

I, I am the Lord,
and besides me there is no savior.
I declared and saved and proclaimed,
when there was no strange god among you;
and you are my witnesses," says the Lord.
"I am God, and also henceforth I am He;
there is none who can deliver from my hand;
I work and who can hinder it?"

Isaiah 43: 1-2, 11-13
Holy Bible
Revised Standard Version
We live beneath the protective palm of a sovereign King who superintends
every circumstance of our lives and delights in doing us good.

Nothing comes your way that has not first passed through the filter of his love.

I have heard many people say that they were
disappointed when they did not get the position, or
the house or the money. I always ask why. There is
a spiritual principle that says you can only have
what is for you to have. Regardless of how much
you want it or think you need something, if it is not
in the divine plan for you to have it, you will not
have it. There is nothing to be disappointed about.
On the other hand, there are those situations when
something is divinely ordained for us and it comes
along, but we are not ready for it. In these
situations, things will seem to slip right through our
hands. The feeling is one of disappointment and
devastation. The lesson is to get prepared. You
cannot lose. Your blessings have your name on
them. When you are ready, an even better
opportunity will be presented to you.

He authors all itineraries. He knows what is best. No struggle will come
your way apart from his purpose, presence, and permission. What
encouragement this brings! You are never the victim of nature or the prey
of fate. Chance is eliminated. You are more than a weather vane whipped
about by the winds of fortune...

And be encouraged. God's ways are always right. They may not make sense
to us. They may be mysterious, inexplicable, difficult, and even painful. But
they are right. "And we know that God causes everything to work together
for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose
for them." (Rom. 8:28)

Take, O Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory,
my understanding and my will; all that I have and
possess. You have given them to me; to you, O Lord,
I restore them. All things are yours: Dispose of them
according to your will. Give me your love and your
grace; for this is enough for me.

Without God-realization you have little freedom.
Your life is ruled by impulse, whims, moods, habits and environment.
